Don't expect me to write
A poem for your eyes
It's quite enough that
You lived since you loved me

Don't expect me to talk to the stars
At night
And feel the fires of longing for you
Or be revived by the tears
Of the rain
Don't wait for love letters
Sealed with kisses
It's quite enough
You lived since you loved me
You lived when I loved you
